Past Life Regression

One of the more unusual applications of hypnosis is past life regression. As a Christian I have had mixed feelings about past lives. After finding it effective for helping some people, I have no personal problems in applying it both as therapy and as a journey of personal discovery for those interested. As to the source of the experience, I feel that it may be one of three possibilities. 

Firstly, they may be a real past life. There has been accounts of people identifying the layout of archiological sites with high accuracy. Past lives have been investigated and some surprising correlations have been found. 

Secondly, they may be generated memories with movies, books and stories as possible sources. This might be to compensate at a subconscious level for things that are happening in your life. We like to feel there is a pattern or purpose.

Thirdly, they may be residual memories from the past from others. Time and space may not be a factor if brainwaves or minds or souls are in some form of resonance.

At the end of the day, I just don’t know. Safely and properly performed, I have not found any negative responses to the experience. I have also done future life progression, and I am waiting for people interested in between life regression. 

I do not accept the simple “It has to be …….” from anyone as we just don’t have evidence one way or the other. If it works, then don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
